Sultan Park

Sultan Park
This is the biggest and oldest public park in the capital city of Male’. It is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the few green spots in Male’. The park offers a lot of shade to sit down and relax. It is the most serene and peaceful place to rejuvenate after visiting all the landmarks and souvenir shopping as it is close to the major attractions in the capital. It’s a short walk from Jetty Number 1 too so you can relax here while you wait for your boat to arrive.
Usgekolhu
When the monarchy of Maldives ended, this park was established over the grounds of the old Sultan’s Palace. The only remaining structure is the white and green 3-story building known as Usgekolhu. It was used as the national museum from the 1950s until a new building was built in 2010 just a few meters away.

It is also a favorite spot among locals on Friday evenings and public holidays for family outings. There is a play area for kids with swings, a slide, and a huge spider web climber. The park also has an outdoor fountain and stage for concerts and musical performances.
